Pill Rao legal
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026. This policy explains how Pill Rao handles information when you use the app and related services.
Who operates Pill Rao
Pill Rao is operated by Alumolu Sai Shree Anjan, an individual developer based in India. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to aanjansai96@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- your name, mobile number, and optional email address;
- your selected language, timezone, and optional profile photo;
- medicine names, dosage text, medicine form, schedules, reminder times, notes, supply counts, and dates that you enter;
- adherence actions such as taken, skipped, snoozed, and action timestamps;
- prescription images or documents that you choose to upload for private reference;
- family or friend invitations, care-circle relationships, and encouragement messages when those features are enabled;
- limited technical request, security, and error logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Current medicine reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Pill Rao does not currently collect a server push-notification token. If remote push notifications are introduced, this policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before collection starts.
How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account;
- display your medicine schedule and adherence history;
- schedule local reminders and support snooze actions;
- provide optional care-circle and encouragement features;
- store files you explicitly upload;
- maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service;
- respond to support, access, export, or deletion requests.
Sensitive health information
Medicine schedules, adherence records, and prescription files may reveal health-related information. We use this information only to provide the reminder, adherence, storage, and optional social-support features you request. We do not sell this information or use it for targeted advertising.
Pill Rao does not interpret prescriptions or verify medicine details. You are responsible for entering and checking information against advice from your qualified healthcare professional.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal or health-related data. We may disclose data only to service providers acting for us, when you direct us to share through a feature, to protect users and the service, or when legally required.
Current infrastructure may include:
- Google Cloud Platform for API hosting, managed PostgreSQL, private object storage, secrets, and operational logging;
- Firebase Hosting for the public HTTPS custom domain and request routing;
- Expo and Android operating-system services for app builds and local notifications.
Analytics, crash-reporting, remote push, SMS, and WhatsApp providers are not currently enabled. Before any such provider is introduced, its data behavior must be reviewed and this policy and Play declarations updated.
Retention and deletion
Account and app data is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may permanently delete your account from the app or follow the instructions on the Delete Account page. Permanent deletion removes the user profile, medicines, reminders, adherence records, uploaded files, sessions, rewards, and social relationships associated with the account.
A minimal deletion audit record may be retained for security and operational accountability. It contains a one-way account reference, event type, and timestamp, not medicine details, prescription files, contact identifiers, or other health information. Backup copies may persist temporarily until normal backup rotation completes.
Your choices and rights
You may update profile information, disable notifications, remove medicines or uploaded prescriptions, request access or export, request correction, and delete your account. Availability of legal rights may depend on your location. Contact aanjansai96@gmail.com for a request that cannot be completed in the app.
Age requirement
Pill Rao is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a person under 18 submitted information should contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Security
We use HTTPS in transit, password and token hashing, access controls, private object storage, validation, rate limiting, and managed secret storage. No service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
Medical disclaimer
Pill Rao is a reminder and adherence support app only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or emergency medical services. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised effective date will be posted here. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by another reasonable method where required.
